Job Title: Bid Manager
Location: Home Based with requirement to attend regular business meetings at our offices (Manchester, Croydon or Tewkesbury)
Salary: up to £50,000 per annum
Status: Permanent
Working Hours: Full Time Mon to Fri- 37.5 hours per week

We are seeking an experienced and driven Bid Manager to join our Commercial team. The successful candidate will combine strong bid writing expertise with excellent project management skills, ensuring submissions are compelling, compliant and delivered at pace.
Purpose of Role:
This role will take ownership of the end-to-end bid lifecycle, leading the development, coordination and submission of high-quality tenders. This role operates within a highly collaborative environment and will work closely with colleagues across clinical, operational and commercial teams to deliver successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Bid Management & Delivery
Lead and manage the full bid lifecycle from opportunity qualification through to submission and post-submission activity.
Develop and manage bid plans, ensuring clear timelines, responsibilities and governance.
Drive bid progress, ensuring all inputs are delivered on time and to a high standard.
Content Development & Writing
Write, edit and refine high-quality, persuasive tender responses.
Translate complex healthcare service delivery models into clear, engaging content.
Ensure a consistent, compelling narrative aligned to client requirements and evaluation criteria.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Working
Work as part of a collaborative Commercial function, supporting colleagues across multiple bids and opportunities.
Coordinate input from clinical, operational, finance and wider subject matter experts.
Contribute to cross-functional bids across HCML, providing both writing and bid management support where required.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure all bids are fully compliant with tender documentation and submission requirements.
Maintain rigorous quality standards, including proofreading, formatting and version control.
Manage bid documentation and ensure submission readiness at all stages.
Submission & Coordination
Lead submission of PQQs, ITTs, RFPs and framework applications.
Manage clarification questions and responses during the tender process.
Ensure all supporting documentation is accurate, complete and submitted on time.
Continuous Improvement
Contribute to bid library development, capturing reusable content and best practice.
Support lessons learned and feedback reviews to continuously improve bid quality and win rates.

Support improved conversion rates through clear, compelling submissions.

Person Specification:
Experience
Essential
Minimum of 3 years in similar Bid Writer/Management Role
Proven experience managing bids end-to-end, from initiation through to submission.
Strong bid writing experience with a track record of successful submissions.
Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced bid environment.
Desirable
Experience within the Healthcare, Health, Insurance or Legal sectors
Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational and project management capability
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
High attention to detail with strong proofreading and editing skills.
Confident stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
